Weddings

The historic sanctuary of First Congregational Church, built in 1861, makes a beautiful setting for Church Wedding Celebrations.   It is located a few blocks from the shores of Anchor Bay, in New Baltimore, Michigan.  The church seats 100-125 guests and is air conditioned.

As an ecumenical and interfaith ministry of love and joy to all members of God’s human family, we seek to accommodate the needs of any couple desiring God’s blessings on their marriage through a religious Church Wedding Ceremony.

Church Wedding Ceremonies may include only the couple and witnesses or can be designed as a more elaborate service which includes up to 125 guests.  For seating purposes, remember, statistically 30-50% of your invited guests will not attend the church ceremony.  They will only attend the reception.

There are no pre-marriage or instruction classes required.  We do ask couples to set up one planning session with Pastor Brinker.


Renewal of Wedding Vows
Another ministry to all married couples and families is to provide Wedding Vow Renewal Celebrations.


Our Fellowship Hall is also available and can seat up to 100 guests.


Tour the Facilities or Make Reservations by calling the church office Monday-Thursday 9:00-1:00PM.  A Booklet, with policies and suggested fee contributions can be obtained through the office: 586-725-0909.

*Final approval for weddings, receptions and other building usage is granted through our Trustees.


Church Weddings can be scheduled for couples from the community, in the beautiful Neo-Greek, New England style church built in 1861.  It seats 100-125 people.   Pastor Brinker meets with couples to plan a marriage ceremony.  The fellowship hall is also available for receptions.
